Whew! Summer solstice and I've only now just caught up with the backlog of time lapse videos I've been out shooting while the weather has been so nice.

So for a while at least I'm able to go back to presenting some still images here at goHOWiE.com.

Looking out over the Atlantic ocean from the cliffs at Ardmore, County Waterford, on the southwest coast of Ireland on a beautiful day of mixed cloud and sunshine, these two pictures give just a taste of this awe inspiring experience.

Time lapse video of the sunset at over moored yachts on the Conwy estuary on the North Wales coast, as viewed from Conway Time lapse video of the sunset over the Little Orme headland, as viewed from Rhos-on-Sea on the North Wales coast

It's been a cracking few days past, with clear skies and lovely sunsets to admire and photograph.

Here are two such time lapse clips from earlier this week, and my only problem now is trying to recover lost sleep, as sunset is at 9.45pm at this time of year!

And don't forget that almost all of my videos are available for commercial licensing from my two stock agencies Pond5 and Videoblocks.

Time lapse video of Rhossili beach on the Gower Peninsula on the South Wales coast, with patches of sunlight and shadow racing across the sand Time lapse video of the sunset at Rhossili beach on the Gower Peninsula on the South Wales coast

What a difference a few hours makes on the welsh coast.

These two time lapse videos were taken overlooking the beach at Rhossili on the Gower Peninsula, the first in early afternoon and the second at sunset.

A stunninlgy beautiful spot, made all the more interesting by the very changeable conditions.

Time lapse video of sunset and dusk over the Conwy estuary at Conway on the North Wales coast Time lapse video of dusk over Conway castle on the North Wales coast

The seaside town of Conway on the North Wales coast boasts an attractive combination of lovely natural estuarine scenery and a historical castle, so it's an ideal spot for visual artists of all kinds.

My chosen visual art form on this particular summer's eve was the time lapse video, and I was able to put together these two sequences as the evening progressed, with just a rotation of my tripod head.

With its unique position on the North Wales coast, with beaches facing both east and west, Llandudno is a perfect spot to photograph sunsets (and sunrises).

A fact I took full advantage of to film these two sunset timelapse videos.

Time lapse video of boats and clouds on the Mawddach Estuary at Fairbourne in Snowdonia, Wales Time lapse video of dramatic clouds at sunset over the Vale of Clywd, North Wales

Clouds make for entrancing time lapse sequences, so I consider myself blessed to live in Wales, where there are usually clouds of all types in abundance!

Here are two examples of lovely and dramatic time lapse cloud play over the beautiful welsh landscape, one at Fairbourne on the west coast, and one inland in the Clywydian Range Area of Outstanding Natuaral Beauty (AONB).

Don't you just love Wales!

Time lapse video showing Thomas Telford's suspension bridge over the Menai Straits between Wales and Anglesey Time lapse video of clouds over the Menai Straits at sunset, North Wales

One of the most fascinating stretches of water in the world is the Menai Straits, separating the beautiful Isle of Anglesey from mainland Wales.

Ever changing, this is one of my favourite spots for time lapse photography, combining lovely scenery with dramatic weather and ferocious tides.

Time lapse video showing dawn in the Glyderau mountains, Snowdonia, North Wales Time lapse video of clouds over the Vale of Clywd at sunset, North Wales

It's been a busy couple of weeks out shooting time lapse videos while the light and the weather have been so good up here in North Wales, so it's time for another catch up session here at goHOWiE.com.

These two videos show the beauty to be found at either end of the day at two very different North Wales locations.

The only problem is that, with sunrise at 5am and sunset at 9.30pm, filming these lovely scenarios makes for a very long day!

One of the nicest experiences my wife Liz and I enjoyed during our week long stay on the southwest coast of Ireland was a hike around the cliffs at Ardmore Head.

With the sun shining on the Atlantic, turing the waters a stunning azure colour, the scenery was just magnificent.

Mind you, we did have an unexpected surprise half way round.
