Here are the final two panoramic collages featuring Lanzarote in the Canary Islands - I'm back to more normal sized photos of this small, but beautiful, place next.
Featured today are the inland town of Teguise, as seen from high above at the top of an extinct volcano, and the incredible volcanic coastline at Los Hervidos on the west coast of the island.

One spot in Lanzarote that our guidebook advised us to see was the Costa de Papagayo on the south coast of the island, so during our week long winter break in the Canary Islands that's just what my wife Liz and I did.
Mind you, it was pretty chilly and blowing a gale when we visited, but that proved to have an unexpected benefit.

If Liz and I ever return to Lanzarote for a Canary Island winter break then one place we'll definitely revisit will be Caleta de Famara on the north coast of the island.
This area was just stunning, and while these panoramic images try and do it justice you'll just have to see it for yourself if you possibly can.

Apart from driving around Lanzarote to find out of the way places to explore during our week long winter break earlier this month, my wife Liz and I did spend a small amount of time looking around the tourist spots near to where we were staying at Puerto del Carmen on the south coast.
We were pleasantly suprised at how sympathetically the tourist areas had been laid out, and very impressed with how clean and well maintained everything was.

Lanzarote proved to be a great island for driving around, with spectacular roadside views to be enjoyed.
My wife Liz and I especially loved the north coast roads, high up in the mountains overlooking the Atlantic ocean.

One of the loveliest places that Liz and I visited during our week long winter break on Lanzarote in the Canary Islands was at the north tip of the island, overlooking the smaller islands of La Graciosa and Montana Clara.

Lanzarote, in the Canary islands, is a relatively small island compared with the likes of Tenerife and Gran Canaria, so my wife Liz and I were able to explore pretty much all of it during our week long winter break there earlier this month.
Now I've got the job of trawling through the hundreds of still images I took during our travels, picking the best to showcase here at goHOWiE.com.
We're starting off with two dramatic panoramic images from the west coast, where the Atlantic ocean meets the barren volcanic landscape of this most unusual landscape.

Holidays and sunsets just go together like strawberries and cream, and here are two sunset time lapse videos taken at the beginning and end of the week that Liz and I spent exploring Lanzarote in the Canary Islands earlier this month.

Three more time lapse videos from the dramatic volcanic island of Lanzarote in the Canary Islands, this time featuring the man-made environment at the best time of day for such scenes - dusk.

Phew! - Just got back from a week's photography and filming around Lazarote in the Canary Islands while on holiday with my wife Liz, who's very understanding when it comes to spending a couple of hours watching me hunched over tripod and camera!
I would describe the weather as similar to a pleasant summer's day in North Wales - around 19°C, stiffish breeze with intermittent clouds and the odd shower of rain.
I love these conditions as boring clear blue skies just don't do it for me photographically speaking, but the locals were acting as though it was freezing!
So I took full advantage of the active weather and amazing volcanic landscapes to shoot time lapse video, of which these are three examples showing cumulus clouds blowing over the landscape in various locations around the island.

The seaside town of Llandudno on the North Wales coast has two beaches, the North Shore and the West Shore.
These two images were each taken on a different shore, depicting two very different sides to Llandudno.

Four eclectic images from the beautiful Isle of Anglesey, all taken on the same day but at opposite ends of the island and in very different weather conditions.
