Most people only see North Wales in the summer during the day while on holiday here.

And while that's very beautiful, North Wales is also a wonderful place during the winter and in the darkness of night, which is when these four images were captured.

An outdoor photoshoot doesn't need to end when night falls, as familiar scenes can take on a whole new look and feel in the dark.

Such was the case here, on the banks of the Conwy estuary at Deganwy on the North Wales coast late one evening in early Autumn 2017.

Here are just a few images captured under such conditions.

So here is a group of images from the beautiful Snowdonia National Park, taken in different seasons and under very different weather conditions during 2017, but all showcasing just how majestic Snowdonia can be.

It's nice to go away to somewhere you've never seen before, like the week in Lanzarote that Liz and I enjoyed last month, with photos and videos galore.

But it's equally nice to come back home, especially when 'back home' is somewhere as beautiful as North Wales.

I must admit my heart was lifted as I prepared these three images, taken around the coast of Anglesey, for presentation here at goHOWiE.com.

As a rule Liz And I stayed clear of the tourist areas during our week long stay on Lanzarote in the Canary Islands this February.

But one exception was the afternoon and evening we spent exploring the harbour and waterfront at Playa Blanca on the south coast of the island.

Definitely one of the more upmarket resorts.

Time lapse video of a gibbous moon moving through a clear blue sky as twilight darkens to night

A brief diversion from the relative warmth of the Canary Islands in winter to a freezing cold evening in North Wales, shooting a time lapse video of the gibbous moon tracking through a darkening sky.

It's a good job the shoot only lasted twenty minutes and was about two metres outside my front door or I would have been frozen solid.
