Time lapse video of the sun setting behind the Connah's Quay power station and suspension bridge over the river Dee, North Wales Time lapse video of dawn and sunrise over Penmon Point lighthouse and Puffin Island on the Isle of Anglesey, North Wales

It was a long day last Monday.

Up at 1.45am to get to Penmon Point on the beautiful Isle of Anglesey to catch the dawn over the lighthouse and Puffin Island, followed by a day at work in the factory, followed by an 11pm finish watching the twilight fade from the evening sky over the Connah's Quay power station and suspension bridge.

Still, the effort as well worth it to capture these lovely time lapse sequences, which you can watch by clicking on the images.

And don't forget that almost all of my videos are available for commercial licensing from my stock agencies Pond5 and Videoblocks.

Panoramic image of the cliffs and lighthouse at South Stack on the Isle of Anglesey, North Wales

When it comes to suitable compositions for photographing as a panoramic collage I find that coastal scenery makes for pretty good subject matter, especially when the coast is as dramatic and beautiful as South Stack on the Isle of Anglesey.

But it wasn't just the scenery that was grabbing my attention on this particular afternoon in early summer.

Whew! I've finally caught up with the backlog of time lapse videos and travel photos that have been clogging up my hard drives for weeks, and I can get back to presenting the beauties of North Wales here at goHOWiE.com.

I seem to have accrued a large number of panoramic collages that I intend to show over the next week or so, starting with this almost 360° view of the West Shore at Llandudno, as seen from the beach on a rising tide.

My wife Liz and I are blessed to live in one of the most beautiful places on earth - North Wales, and we certainly make every effort to get out and about, seeing as much as we can of the coast, mountains, forests, lakes, waterfalls (I could go on) near our home town of Mold.

Everywhere we go I take my camera rig with me, to record as much of this beauty as I can in the form of still images, video and time lapse sequences.

So here are four of my latest efforts, three time lapse clips shot on the same evening on the North Wales coast and a video shot on a lovely, ethereal early morning in the Clywdian Forest.

I took full advantage of the receding tide at Llangrannog on the Ceredigion coast, Mid Wales, one sunny afternoon, really enjoying my time photographing the rocks, sand and waves at this beautiful spot.

Here's just a small selection of the many images I took there.

These two videos show the beauty to be found at either end of the day at two very different North Wales locations.

The only problem is that, with sunrise at 5am and sunset at 9.30pm, filming these lovely scenarios makes for a very long day!
