I'm still playing catchup with all the time lapse videos I've been out shooting during this spell of good weather, such as these two examples of lovely sunsets on the North Wales coast.

Both were shot using my big and heavy 100-400mm zoom lens, but the stills for one were taken on a blustery evening, while the stills for the other were taken in calm conditions.

With decent weather and longer days it's been a busy couple of weeks for me on the time lapse shooting front, so I'm taking a few days off from presenting the beautiful scenery of the southwest of Ireland here at goHOWiE.com in order to bring you some local North Wales loveliness.

We're starting off on the beach at Talacre, where I've been fixed in position at both ends of the day filming and watching in wonder as the tide did its thing around the iconic Point of Ayr lighthouse.

My wife Liz and I spent a couple of hours here during our week long explore of this stretch of the Irish coast, catching some lovely light as clouds and sun played hide and seek overhead.

Whew! - Just got back from a week on the southwest coast of Ireland with loads more time lapse and still images to deal with - and I'm still trying to complete my Tenerife portfolio!

Two very different coastlines and weather experiences between Tenerife and Ireland, and each very beautiful in its own unique way.

Here are three images shot on the volcanic beach at Los Gigantes (Tenerife - not Ireland!).

I have to admit I didn't see any bikini or Tee shirt clad holidaymakers on the beach during my latest trip to the Emerald Isle!

I've always had a thing for photographing roads - the promise of travel, the uncertainty of what lies around that bend - all very emotive stuff.

Of course, it helps if your road passes through somewhere amazing, which is why I took the time to take these images of highway TF-21 as it wound its course through the ancient volcanic caldera of Mount Teide on Tenerife in the Canary Islands.

A geologist's delight, the magnificent, alien landscapes of the Teide National Park formed one of the main highlights of the week that Liz and I spent on Tenerife in the Canary Islands last February.

Apart from the imposing volcanic cone of mount Teide, there was a plethora of strange shapes and colours to enjoy, formed from volcanic spew from the bowels of the earth./p>
