Penmon Point, on the southeastern tip of the Isle of Anglesey, just off the North Wales coast, is an ethereal location, with sensory delights that completely envelope you in their subtle embrace until the modern world fades away and you are left at peace.
Mind you, it can get quite busy during the day, which is why my favourite time to come here is for the hour either side of an early sunrise.
Then it's just you with the sights, sounds, smells, taste and feel of the rocks, the seaweed, the waves, the cry of the gulls, the hiss of waves on pebbles and the salt on your tongue.
It's a time to create photographs, in the stillness of the pre-dawn light as the world holds its breath in anticipation of the new day.
All too soon the sun rises and the first of the day's visitors arrives down the lumpy track.
So it's time to pack everything away and head home, glowing inside with the beauty and peace you've absorbed during your brief stay here at the best of the day, surrounded by God's creation.

Filters - Polarising filter used to reduce glare and enhance colours. 2 stop neutral density graduated filter used to reduce the brightness of the sky.

Comments - Tripod, mirror lockup and remote release used to prevent camera movement.
