The story behind this image

Every season in North Wales brings a different set of beautiful scenes to enjoy and photograph but for me, the season I look forward to the most is autumn.

The ancient woodlands in the Snowdonia National Park are particularly lovely in their autumn finery, and my wife Liz and I take full advantage of the beauty on offer to enjoy walks though some of our favourite stands of trees.

One such walk follows the tree lined banks of the Afon Llugwy as it traces a meandering path from Betws-y-Coed to Capel Curig.

This photo shows a typical autumn scene from this path, with golden boughs glowing in the afternoon sunlight next to the flowing waters of the stream.

Where else would you want to be at this wonderful time of year?!
