This is the suspension bridge over the Menai Straits, joining the island of Anglesey to the North Wales mainland.
Designed and built by Thomas Telford, this is the first ever suspension bridge in the world, but technicalities aside it's just so beautiful.
Not only is it a very graceful piece of engineering, but it's set in one of the most stunning locations to be found anywhere.
With the mountains of Snowdonia as a backdrop, and the fascinating tidal Menai Straits in the foreground, this must be one of the most photogenic locations in Wales.
Normally I would only stop to photograph the bridge during the golden hours around sunrise or sunset, but driving past in the early afternoon I couldn't resist the dramatic clouds that had formed over the mountains, framing the landscape below in a visual layer cake of beauty and interest.
Well worth stopping for.
