In the spring of 2020 here in North Wales we were all stuck in the coronavirus lockdown, unable to drive to any of the well known beauty spots on the coast or in the mountains for which this part of the world is so well known.
It's a good job then that here in North Wales you're never far away from loveliness, and an evening stroll up to our local common, with its picturesque lake and trees, provided some necessary balm to the soul for my wife Liz and myself.
On this particular evening, at the end of a day of warm sunshine, the low angled light was playing across the landscape in a very photogenic manner, showing the local scenery at its absolute best.
So it was out with the camera to record some delightful local tableaux as we strolled along the lakeshore, kept company by a plethora of ducks and geese, hoping for a free meal.
Eventually the wildfowl went away disappointed, but I certainly wasn't disappointed with the images I captured that evening.
