The sun was close to setting on a clear and cold winter's afternoon as my wife Liz and I arrived at Caernarfon's Victoria Dock on the North Wales coast.
We'd been for a stunning drive around the Snowdonia National Park and had called in at Caernarfon on the way home for a bite to eat at the Galeri Café, on the waterfront right next to the moored boats.
Well I have to say it took us a while to make it to the café, as the light was just amazing and I couldn't just walk past such a beautiful scene without taking a photo or ten!
This image emphasises the contrast between the warmth of direct sunlight on the buildings and boats in the distance set against the cool blue tones of twilight in the foreground shadows.
Just a couple of minutes later and the sun had dipped below the horizon, taking that lovely warm light with it for anorther day.
Well worth holding up tea for a few minutes to capture such loveliness.
