During our two week holiday spent exploring the beautiful landscapes and coastlines of Devon and Cornwall my wife Liz and I spent a couple of days visiting the quaint seaside villages along the English Channel coast of South Cornwall.
One very picturesque, quiet and unspoilt little seaside spot that we found on our drive was Gorran Haven.
This tiny village comprised a compact harbour, just a few houses and the odd shop or two.
Liz and I really enjoyed strolling along the beach and harbour wall, watching a couple of families enjoying themselves in the shallow waters and photographing the charming old architecture.
This view shows some small boats moored in the shallow, calm waters of the harbour on a lovely sunny day, protected from the sea by that substantial stone wall.
