The story behind this image

The village of Trefriw, right on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park, is the starting point for a number of beautiful walks through some stunning and varied North Wales scenery.

One walk follows the course of a small tributary of the river Conwy as it winds its way down from Llyn Crafnant in the hills above and runs through the village itself.

Part way up the trail you arrive at the delightful Fairy Falls, a gentle cascade on this occasion during the summer drought of 2018, bit normally a full on 25 foot drop waterfall.

My wife Liz and I stopped here for a rest on the steep climb upwards, and of course I couldn't resist taking a few photos, using a slowish shutter speed to blur the moving water.
