Surely one of the most dramatic coastlines anywhere in the world, this is the atlantic coast of North Devon, looking northwards from Hartlands Quay on a lovely, calm afternoon in late September with the low angled sun picking out the contours and textures in the towering convoluted cliffs.
My wife Liz and I were advised to come to Hartland Quay during out two week stay nearby by a friend with local knowledge, and we were certainly glad we took his advice as we were left speechless by the epic scenery on offer.
During our holiday we came here four times in total, taking in the views under a variety of weather, light and tide.
Not all our visits were made under such benign conditions as these!
As well as taking a plethora of still images of this stunning view I also shot some real time video which you can enjoy here.
