As part of our two week holiday spent exploring the lakes and mountains of northern Italy my wife Liz and I spent a long day driving all the way round Lake Como, taking in the magnificent scenery and stopping to look around the typical Itanianate towns that dot the lake's shoreline.
One lovely place we stopped was the small town of Nesso, perched high above the lake and with stunning views out over the waters and surrounding mountains.
So after a much needed coffee and gelato we had a walk around, enjoying the scenery and taking photos that try and convey something of the ambiance of this special part of the world.
