As part of our two week holiday spent exploring the lakes and mountains of northern Italy my wife Liz and I spent a long day driving all the way round Lake Como, taking in the magnificent scenery and stopping to look around the typical Itanianate towns that dot the lake's shoreline.
One lovely place we stopped at briefly was the small town of Tremezzo, nestled on the lakeshore and sporting some lovely old architectural features, such as these sweeping stone steps.
