My wife Liz and I spent the final few days of our two week holiday in the mountains of northern Italy exploring Lake Garda and the surrounding area.
Lake Garda was a bit less mountainous and more 'modern' than Lake Como, where we had stayed previously, with a lot more activity on the water.
One of our favourite places to stop for a lakeside promenade, including coffee and gelato of course, was the small lakeside town of Bardolino, which is where I photographed this speedboat, carefully approaching one of the many old wooden jetties that adorned the lakeshore.
Those mountains in the far distance, rising through the early evening mist, were pretty impressive as well!
