My wife Liz and I spent the final few days of our two week holiday in the mountains of northern Italy exploring Lake Garda and the surrounding area.
One of our favourite places to stop for a lakeside promenade, including coffee and gelato of course, was the small lakeside town of Bardolino.
Very pretty indeed, with views out over the lake to the mountains, rising through the early evening mist in the far distance.
The shoreline was dotted with old wooden jetties and mooring posts which made for great foreground interest for my photos.
The seagull was an added bonus!
