In the autumn of 2018 my wife Liz and I spent an amazing two weeks exploring the lakes and mountains of northern Italy.
As well as spending time at the major destinations of Lake Como and Lake Garda, we also took our little Fiat Panda hire car out into the sticks, looking for less developed lakea and towns to explore.
One such excursion took us to the small village of Lavenone, in the hills above the beautiful Lake Idro.
We were just passing through really, but the typical Italian rural scene was too good to pass by without a photograph.
