One of my wife Liz's and my favourite views from England's Lake District, this panoramic collage shows Derwent Water and surrounding mountains under a threatening sky.
This overlook is to be enjoyed from a little National Trust car park called, unsurprisingly, 'Surprise View', on the narrow road between Ashness Bridge and Watendlath, both lovely spots in their own right.
In fact, it's amazing just how much beautiful scenery can be crammed into such a small part of the UK!
