For my wife Liz and myself, time spent in the Lake District in the north of England isn't complete without a visit to Ravenglass on the west coast.
This quaint fishing village is full of olde worlde charm, and a delight to stroll around in the quiet of the evening.
The tide was well out at the time of our visit to Ravenglass, which meant we could spend some time wandering the foreshore, with its old wooden mooring posts catching the light of the setting sun.
Just a lovely, tranquil place to be.
