My wife Liz and I had finished a bracing stroll around the Marine Lake at West Kirby on the Wirral, and with the afternoon still young, on a whim, we decided to drive around the top of the Wirral Peninsula to see what was there.
Well, was I in for a surprise!
Turning around the top right hand corner of the Wirral at New Brighton, on the mouth of the River Mersey, an amazing vista of the Liverpool waterfront opened up before us.
Driving further down the side of the Mersey we arrived at Seacombe dock, home of the famous Mersey Ferry, which is where I captured the still images needed to create this panoramic collage of the Liverpool Waterfront on the far side of the river, taking in the modern skyscapers of the business district, on past the iconic 'Three Graces' and ending up at the completely revamped Liverpool Docklands.
Well I'd never actually seen this view before, and I was just blown away with how lovely Liverpool looked from across the Mersey.
