The end of a stunning winter's day in the Snowdonia National Park, North Wales, and with a high pressure ridge sitting over the country there's never a breath of wind to disturb the mirror-like surface of Llyn Padarn.
My wife Liz and I, determined to eke the absolute last drop of visual pleasure from our day spent exploring Snowdonia, have made for one of our favourite viewpoints at the end of Llyn Padarn, looking up the lake and the Pass of Llanberis to the snow capped peak of Snowdon, gleaming in the last light of the sun, now nearly set behind us.
We just sit entranced as my camera clicks away, taking the hundreds of still images need to create my Llyn Padarn Timelapse #12 video as the natural light of day fades from the scene.
Eventually, colours have faded to blues and grey, signalling time to pack the camera away and head home with an immense sense of wellbeing, having witnessed the end of another day out in God's wonderful creation.
