Strolling around the seashore at Santanyi on the south eastern corner of the Mediterranean island of Mallorca turned into a real pleasure for Liz and I.
We thought Santanyi would be an over developed tourist trap, but instead we found it to be a rather charming seaside village.
Sure, there were a couple of big hotels, but they didn't really detract from the gentle ambiance, and we spent a happy few hours wandering around discovering visual delights such as this old, whitewashed villa perched right on the limestone foreshore.
An old weatherbeaten path leading round the edge of the bay completed the scene very nicely.
