One unseasonably warm and sunny day in late September 2020 my wife Liz and I decided on an excursion southwards from our home in North Wales down to Barmouth on the coast of southern Snowdonia.
Having explored Barmouth and walked over the amazing railway bridge across the Mawddach estuary (a life goal for me), our attention was drawn to a roadsign on the outskirts of Barmouth advertising a panoramic view.
So off we set up into the hills above the Mawddach estuary to see what we could find.
What we did find, eventually, was this stunning vista up the estuary to the mountains of Snowdonia beyond, lit by dappled sunlight and with rolling farmland in front of us.
Well worth stopping to shoot a few photos, in which I included the sunlit branches of an old oak tree to help frame the composition.
