With half an hour to kill while my wife Liz was having her hair done at her favourite hairdressers in Northop, near where we live in North Wales, I took myself and my camera off for a walk around the public footpaths of the local golf club, to see if there were any views worth photographing.
Pickings were slim in the cold winter conditions, until I spotted this large and magnificent old willow tree, its bare winter branches glowing yellow and gold in the low angled sunlight.
So I spent the following half hour enjoying photographing this tree from different angles, with a nicely coiffured but puzzled wife wondering where I'd gone to!
