This solitary sea angler, perched on the edge of a small cliff overlooking the Irish Sea at Porth Dafarch, Anglesey on the North Wales coast, struck a dramatic pose which I couldn't resist photographing, silhouetted against the glowing sunset sky.
My wife Liz and I had taken advantage of a brief break in the December weather to head to the coast for some fresh air and exercise, with Porth Dafarch on the southwestern facing coast of the Isle of Anglesey as our chosen destination.
With its lovely beach, exposed fully at low tide, and the fact that the sun sets between the rocky headlands at this time of year, there really was no doubting our reasons for choosing to come here.
The man fishing on the rocks was an added photographic bonus, but one I was all to ready to take advantage of!
