A walk along the beach can engage the senses on many different levels.
Obviously, the views along the shoreline and out to sea are what first come to mind, but there's also the wonderful smells, the sound of the waves and the feel of wet sand under your feet.
And it was downwards towards the wet sand that my gaze was drawn as I crunched over some washed up seashells on the high tide line.
As I looked more closely the details of the shells, with their delicate structures and colours, just sucked me in, entranced by what I was seeing more closely than usual.
So of course, I stooped down, camera in hand to record the detail of one of these beautiful clam shells that I had been so casually walking over just a few moments previously.
