Nothing says 'British Seaside' better than an old fashioned 'Owl' telescope, beloved of children and the despair of parents for generations!
So as my wife Liz and I were strolling along the promenade at Prestatyn on the North Wales coast, I couldn't resist pausing for a few moments to photograph this iconic relic of times past as it caught the light of a winter's sun.
It's nice to know that a traditional seaside still exists.
