While my wife Liz and I were strolling along the popular beach at Los Gigantes on Tenerife, the largest of the Canary Islands, I despaired of finding a photographic composition that wasn't marred by random footprints in the volcanic sand.
So I changed my mindset, and instead of giving up in frustration I decided to embrace the possibilities for story telling that footprints in the sand repesent.
It wasn't too long after that my change of attitiude bore fruit and I was able to isolate this single line of prints in the wave washed sand.
Sort of a 'wish you were here' type of mood, helped by some careful cropping of the final image to emphasise the meaning.
