The pervasive scent of wild garlic filled the air as my wife Liz and I took one of our coronavirus lockdown exercise walks along the banks of the river Alyn at Maeshafn in the Clwydian Range Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty near our home in North Wales.
The steep sides of the gorge either side of the river were carpeted with the delicate white flowers of the ramsons, and it seemed were were walking though a fairy glen as we made our way downriver.
Of course, I had to stop to capture the fleeting beauty of these short lived blooms in a photo or two.
