The hills of North Wales are normally never silent.
There's so much rain in this part of the world that you're never far away from a bubbling brook, a rushing river or a wild waterfall. (Nice alliteration eh?)
This is the sound that accompanies me on some of my morning climbs up my local hill, Moel Famau, as the path I sometimes take runs along the side of a small stream for part of its length.
Next time I'm stuck in a desert, with no water but a good WiFi signal, I'll know what to listen to for a reminder of home!
