A highly popular attraction in the Lake District, Cumbria, England, and rightly so, is the wonderful Aira Force series of waterfalls in the Aira Beck, as this lovely little river falls into Ullswater far below.
Set in a wooded glen, you could be forgiven for thinking you'd arrived in Middle Earth as you meander along the riverside path, expecting to see hobbits and elves around every turn.
Aira Force has been a firm favourite with my wife Liz and myself over the years, and every time we visit the Lake District we make the effort to see the falls and walk the wooded paths.
This time, as well as capturing a plethora of still images of the beautiful and intimate scenery, I decided to switch my camera to video mode and record some real time footage of the different views on offer.
Watching the videos again now I'm transported back to that lovely summer's day in July 2020 as we strolled along the shady riverside paths with the sound of water rushing over rocks to accompany us.
