The low angled winter sun put in a brief burst through the clouds over the North Wales coast at Beaumaris on the beautiful Isle of Anglesey, lighting up the pier and lifeboat station for a couple of minutes.
And a couple of minutes was all I needed to capture this real time video of the lovely scene laid out before me.
My wife Liz and I had just enjoyed a bracing walk along the pier and back while I'd left my camera clicking awaing on the beach, recording the hundreds of still images needed to create my Beaumaris Sunset Timelapse #1 video.
With the time lapse shoot finished and that gorgeous but fleeting light playing over the pier it was the work of but a moment to reset my camera to record video and capture these few seconds of loveliness.
And beautiful though the scene was, I was glad to get back to my car and a flask of hot tea at the end of the shoot!
