A pleasant evening in midsummer, and with sunset at 9.45pm, there was plenty of time for a drive up the North Wales coast after tea, to take in some views and sea air.
Llandudno is a prime location for such activity, with a mile long promenade and a lovely olde worlde ambiance to enjoy, together with some highly photogenic scenery.
A further incentive for Liz and I to stop at Llandudno was the discovery by text that a couple of our friends from church were also enjoying an evening there, so we agreed to meet up for a cup of tea at the cafe at the end of the pier.
The cup of tea turned into an hour long chat, sitting watching the clouds roll by overhead as the gulls squawked and fought over dropped scraps of food.
Not one to waste an opportunity I set up my camera on its tripod to record a time lapse sequence of those dramatic clouds, eventually managing three different views of Llandudno Bay, all from the same spot on the pier, while we drank and chatted.
What a lovely combination of events, meeting with friends, lovely views, a nice cup of tea, and being by the seaside while being able to photograph as well.
