With winter clouds racing over the snow capped peaks of Snowdonia in North Wales, and the low angled sun lighting up the landscape around the Menai Straits together with the famous Thomas Telford suspension bridge, the first of its kind in the world, it was a no-brainer really to park up in the best layby in Wales to take a half hour's break, eat some pizza and set my camera off capturing the few hundred still images needed to create this time lapse video of the beautiful scene.
My wife Liz and I were enjoying a brief trip to Anglesey during a few hours of decent weather, with the Menai Straits being our first stop on our way round to Beaumaris and beyond.
But I wasn't expecting such glorious light, as least for a few minutes, so I was really glad I was there to make the most of it while it lasted.
