God's own highway, the A55 expressway that runs along the North Wales coast all the way up to the port of Holyhead, take in some wonderful scenery.
This particular stretch is at Penmaenmawr, where there is a very convenient vantage point on a bridge over carriageway that also takes in the huge sandy beach.
I find the best time to photograph roads is at twilight, when the warm artifical lights from traffic and streetlights blends nicely with the remaining cool ambient light in the sky above, providing a lovely colour temperature contrast across the scene.
So I spent an hour hunched over my camera as the cars and lorries zoomed by below while the sun set over my shoulder and the dark of night slowly crept across the heavens, making exposure adjustments as the light levels fell away.
Not my usual time lapse fare, but well worth a couple of hours of my time to capture.
