A beautiful sunset over the Irish Sea is captured in this time lapse video sequence, filmed from the promenade at Rhyl on the North Wales coast.
My wife Liz and I had been for a walk by the sea and had just returned to our car just in time for me to set up my camera overlooking the vast sandy beach and start shooting the hundreds of still frames need for just a few seconds of video.
As we watched and I made tiny exposure adjustments the light just got better and better, with passing clouds glowing in the warm sunlight as the tide crept over the sand, eventually covering over the groynes which adorn the beach.
The scene was so lovely I lost track of time and ended up filming for around an hour and a half, while Liz sat patiently knitting away.
Still, it's not every evening you see a sunset as lovely as this one.
