South Stack Time Lapse #10

The story behind this video

Surely one of the most dramatic sunset locations in the world, this is South Stack on the beautiful Isle of Anglesey, just off the North Wales coast.

With towering sea cliffs overshadowing the iconic lighthouse, and views out westwards over the sea to the mountains of Ireland on the horizon, this is a place of majestic scenery and sky.

Sunsets here are different every day, ranging from a featureless grey fug in which sea and sky are indistinguishable, to a stunning kaleidoscope of firey colour as the setting sun underlights the high clouds.

This particular evening the sunset was around a 6/10 on the awesomeness scale, with a relative gentle display of colour and light as the sun dipped towards the sea at the western horizon.

Well worth standing around on a cliff top in the cold for an hour or so to capture as a time lapse video, especially when an Irish ferry decided to sail past at just the right moment!
