Tarn Hows Video #1

The story behind this video

The lake of Tarn Hows and the surrounding countryside really are one of the jewels in the crown of England's Lake District.

Run by the National Trust, this lake is partly man-made, having been two seperate smaller lakes in times past.

My wife Liz and I made a special effort to visit Tarn Hows during our long weekend break in the Lake District during the summer of 2020, and having been here previously on a very damp autumn day is was great to be able to walk around in actual sunshine for once.

The walk around took us most of the afternoon, with multiple stops for photography and snacks, including this real time video from a hill overlooking the lake, panning from one side to the other to show the whole extent of Tarn Hows.
