The rocky coastline of Anglesey at Trearddur Bay on the North Wales coast makes for some dramatic photography, especially in winter when the sun sets to the southwest out over the Irish Sea.
Which is why, at the end of a cold December day spent exploring the beauties of Anglesey, my wife Liz and I ended up at Trearddur Bay, watching and filming as the sun sank slowly towards the horizon at the slack of the tide.
We were treated to some gorgeous sunbeams thanks to layers of broken cloud close to the horizon, and it was quite a while before I finally decided to call it a day once the last of the warm colour had faded from the heavens.
What a great way to end a fantastic day out on this most beautiful stretches of North wales coastline.

Filters - 2/3 stop neutral density reverse graduated filter used to reduce the brightness of the sky near the horizon.
